With just five days to prepare we left our home in NW Washington State on Dec 23, 2006 and journeyed to Pharr, TX arriving Jan 3, 2007. On Jan 10 we crossed the border and began the adventure of a lifetime.

Over hills, mountains, through jungles and rain forests, to volcanoes and oceans, into pot holes from hell and topes without end. We camped in RV parks, horse pastures, along lakes and roads, gas stations, hotels and luxury resorts.  We climbed pyramids, flew on cables over jungle canopies, and walked trails. We rode in busses, vans, and dugout canoes. We swam in the Pacific, Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico, ventured throughthe Panama Canal and helped on a working shrimp boat.

We ate too much, drank more beer than we needed, shopped and shopped and never dropped.

We didn't just make friends; we grew a whole new wonderful family.

Wasn't it a wonder...
